Newby that finally has his Aero 50!
Hello, I'm a newby to this forum . I recently bought a Aero 50 that needs alot of work. A little backround about me if anyone cares. When I was 14 I bought (with my Dads help of course) a brand new 87 Elite 50 red/gray. Everyone else in my sub had a Spree and I wanted something different.I have photos of the day I got it if anyone wants to see. It was so shinny when I got it and I always kept it that way as long as I had it. I bought it for $575.00 and later sold it for $450.00. I loved that scooter until I turned 16 and sold it to buy a car.I aways regreted it though.I put nearly 2500 miles on it in the 2 summers time .I had the time of my life with my friends. When I saw the Aero for sale I jumped on it. When I bought the Elite 50 I intially wanted an Aero but the salesman told my Dad it was a motorcycle and not a moped so my Dad wouldn't let me have it. I don't regret having a Elite 50 but I really wanted a black Aero 50. Getting back to the Aero I bought recently .It starts right up on the first kick and goes about 35. I weigh 235 and I would like it to go 40 to 45 .All help would be great! And any point in the right direction would be appreciated!!

I've read that the ruckus variator works great in our scooters and will likely get you above 40 with that alone
