COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
So while I have my scooter in pieces right now thanks to the weather. I'm looking for cool things to ad to it.
I bought a stereo for it so far.
If you have a suggestion let me know !
An idea or two that won't break the bank are what I'm looking for.

Earbud style headphones under the helmet have always worked for me. On both my Helix and Elite ive got a little spot on the handlebars with some velcro to attach my Shuffle. Works great. On the XT, i just clip it to my jacket. Might stick some velcro on the tank for it though.

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
I am a big fan of these. Looks perfect for a scooter. Peak output is 2x6w, so it wont blow you over, but enough to listen to while cruising. The price is right.
As far as power: What you will probably find is that the radio will require much more frequent use of your charger. Might shorten the overall life of the battery.
As someone said to me, Do it and show us how it's done.

I have a spare door for my front storage box and this is where I will mount the speakers and the unit will stay inside the box. The handlebar mount doesn't appeal to me.

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
Its not a bad idea, putting them in the door, but you might lose quite bit out sound to your knees and er.. uh.. knees. The higher you place your speakers the better your chances of actually hearing some tunes.novs86 wrote:I have a spare door for my front storage box and this is where I will mount the speakers and the unit will stay inside the box. What about drilling into the plastic dash? there is plenty of room under there.

I guess I just feel like the old Almond Joy/Mounds commercial.Bandit240 wrote:Earbud style headphones under the helmet have always worked for me. I thought about that and I'd like to if there is room for them and they can be flush mounted neatly. Looks are important to me as well.mr pibbs wrote:Its not a bad idea, putting them in the door, but you might lose quite bit out sound to your knees and er.. uh.. knees. Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
Wow! Nobody puts any cool accessories on their scoot? Speed only does so much for me. It's time for gadgets!

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
I put a volt meter on my Aero. Cheap $5 one from Harbor Freight
Then I took one of those hanging cup holders ($1.99 for a 4 pack), cut the hanging part of and used a self tapping screw to hold it on.
Next, I want to put some red LED lighting under the floor boards

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
The meter and the lights are on the list now. The cup holder is a good idea but there has to be a better way. I don't want to be afraid of kicking it all the time. Thanks for the input workdog!

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
Any time! I'm trying to figure out another place to mount the holder, every now and then my foot will kick it and Pepsi is all over my foot and floor.

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
I was thinking of somehow mounting a cup holder where the two bolts are that hold the two rear fairings in place directly across from where you currently have yours. That way it would be more between your legs for easy access. ( ha ha on the jokes) That way your not kicking it.workdog wrote:Any time! Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
I ran something like this on the handle bars of a cruiser I used to have, works great with a windsheild and half helmet.

A fold away cupholder is a cool concept but where could I mount it?eliteguy50 wrote:I ran something like this on the handle bars of a cruiser I used to have, works great with a windsheild and half helmet.

I received a few PM's on some more gauges to install which are cool but this thread is more about cool gadgets. I'm not looking to have an airplane * on the front of my Aero no matter how beneficial all the gauges are.
The radio, cupholder and LED type lights are really the types of accessories I'm looking for.
Think of the movie "Pee Wee's Big adventure"
Remember his bike had all the cool gadgets on it. Ok maybe not as extreme as that but you get the idea!
(No Pee Wee Herman jokes either please. It was just a example!)
Please keep the ideas coming!
